New York State has launched ON-RAMP, a $200 million workforce development initiative designed to prepare New Yorkers for careers in advanced manufacturing and other high-growth industries.
The program will support a network of four workforce development centers in strategic locations across Upstate New York. The centers will bring together employers, educational institutions, community organizations, and social services to provide industry-aligned training and support for people pursuing careers in fields such as advanced manufacturing and semiconductors.
ON-RAMP is designed to strengthen New York’s skilled workforce pipeline and connect more New Yorkers with the career opportunities created by the state’s growing advanced manufacturing sector.
